In the beginning, there was nothing.

And then a couple million years passed and everything that could be thought of was, and true novelty was dead. And social media came along just before the complete collapse of modern society to permit self proclaimed "influencer sociologists" to build platforms by claiming that each successive trend that comes out is indicative of the end times. Luckily for them, none of these "new trends" are new at all. They are the same exact things from years both past and forgotten repackaged with new ribbons and shiny wrapping paper.

The Architetural Digest home tour videos have become somewhat of a cornerstone of pop culture. Anyone who's anyone is gonna be on AD showing off their $800 ficuses and $2000 chairs not built for anyone to actually sit in them. And we love it. We love getting a glimpse into the personal space of those who we think we know in order to further fuel our parasocial relationships with them.
